Teijin develops technology for eliminating polyurethane elastomer fibre（TEIJIN）August, 2023

Teijin has developed a technology for eliminating polyurethane elastomer fibres from polyester apparel using the new processing agent during the pretreatment phase of the chemical recycling process of polyester, which helps improve the quality of the recycled polyester fibre derived from clothing of polyester containing polyurethane elastomer fibre. In addition, the technology enabled decolouring apparel during the pretreatment process contributes to establishing an efficient recycling system.
