Toray Industries, Inc. has developed a PFAS-free water-repellent stretchable textile “DEWEIGHT,” to which the company’s own complex spinning “NANODESIGN” technology is applied. The “DEWEIGHT” textiles are provided with structures that are uneven like ordinary natural materials. Yarns used for the textiles have two different types of spiral structures, and include fibres whose cross-sectional surfaces are finely controlled. The company’s unique high-level processing technology is applied for formation of the structure. The “DEWEIGHT” textile does not stick with wearers’ skins as sweat drops roll down on the textile surface.
