ASAHI KASEI FIBERS expands by maximum 30 % the production capacity of cellulosic fiber “Bemberg” applied for lining of high-class women’s and men’s wear. The expansion/extension of the facilities is planned at Nobeoka Plant (Miyazaki Prefecture) in 2015 in order to cope with the demand expansion from China and other Asian countries. By increasing the raw materials supply from Brazil and India, a steady supply chain system is expected to be established. Since a high-end goods market is growing rapidly in China as wealthy population increases, Zegna and Armani are opening many branches in China. The expansion of Bemberg production responds to the demand for high-class brands.
