Toray has developed a hydrophilic spunbond nonwoven, which is gentle on skin and retains its hydrophilicity for a long period of time. Applying hydrophilicity to polymer structures allows the nonwoven to retain its hydrophilicity regardless of repetitive moisture absorption. The nonwoven is expected to be used for hygiene products such as disposable diapers, masks, and sanitary protection.
