Teijin Frontier to launch the world’s first tire cord using eco-friendly materials. November, 2022
【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.10 New products of 2022】
Teijin Frontier has developed a tire cord using eco-friendly adhesives and polyester fibres. The adhesives do not contain resorcin formaldehyde (RF) deemed hazardous to humans and general environment. The polyester fibres used as rubber reinforcing fibres are produced by chemical recycling. It is the world's first success of commercialising tire cords including the RF-free adhesives and the chemically recycled polyester fibres. The tire cords will be widely utilised as reinforcing fibres for other rubber products too, such as belts and hoses.
