Toyobo produces nonwovens using discarded carbon fibres. January,2022
【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.9 New products of 2021】
Toyobo has started producing nonwovens using discarded carbon fibres, to promote recycling of discarded CFRP. By nonwoven technology, carbon fibres are not damaged and maintain their original lengths until they are formed into nonwovens. The company aims for selling thermoplastic composites containing recycled carbon fibres, and has started finding marketing channels for the material usable for car interiors.
