Mitsubishi Rayon has developed new carbon fiber reinforced composite possessing different characteristics. May, 2015
【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.3 New products of 2015】
Mitsubishi Rayon promotes a project to develop carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP) which will be 40 % lighter than the commercially available CFRP by combining two different CRFC’s. This new CRFP is hardly deformed and exhibits an excellent heat resistance. This CFRP could be processed into a complex shape such as an engine hood, and Mitsubishi Rayon explores the application mainly for automobiles.
