Teijin has developed AFRW for wooden architectures by integrating wood with high-performance fiber. May, 2015
【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.3 New products of 2015】
As CFRW (carbon fiber reinforced wood) is composed of bonded wood (generally used for middle/low-raising wooden architectures) reinforced with high-rigid carbon fiber composite sheet, its bending rigidity is confirmed as 2 times higher than wood, the durability and design-flexibility of architectures could be improved by applying this CFRW to beams etc. Teijin expects AFRW be widely employed in wooden architectures from its physical advantages.
