Toray has developed the protective clothing for decontamination work of radioactive substances, which reduces the load during work and for disposal.
Biodegradable material is employed for the product, so that it will be decomposed in the soil containing microorganism after 25 days at disposal, and reduces the safekeeping load considerably. Toray also developed biodegradable water-proof protective clothing to reduce work load in rain, and wishes to improve the working condition for the reconstruction work after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
