Asahi Kasei Fibers drive forward the project to enforce the production base for cupra rayon “Bemberg”.
Asahi Kasei Fibers expanded the production line of “Bemberg” in June last year. The production capacity was now increased 10 % to 16,500 tons/year by introducing the high-speed spinning process 6 times higher than the conventional one. Asahi Kasei Fibers plan to improve the process further and renovate the infrastructure step by step. Asahi Kasei Fibers have investigated since 2008, and plan to continue investigating a total sum of over US$ 100 million in 10 years till 2017.
