Mitsubishi Chemical developed polyethylene nonwovens, which has a high conductivity and comfortability and will be launched for mask use. Other masks are developed by using 3D printing technology. They are designed to fit the wearer’s face with respect to the person’s body temperature. High functional face screens are developed too. The face screens include amorphous polyethylene terephthalate sheets and antireflection films. The sheets are easily folded and formed, and also can boost effectiveness of precautions against droplets. The films attached to the sheets are developed by their own technique. The face screens are expected to be used by surgeons working on fine detail. Mitsubishi Chemical also developed polypropylene compounds in which antivirus agents are weaved. They will be provided to automobile interior markets.
