Creating new plants through green innovation

If vegetables could cure allergies, rice could survive global warming, and fruit could grow easily inside a spacecraft, what would it be like ? I am carrying out research on selective breeding using the genetic resources of plants to control their shape and form, for example regarding the nutrition of plant fiber, and to make them grow readily without contracting diseases.
