KURARAY expands the market of biomass-based barrier film for food as the global demand for freshness-keeping of fresh foods is increasing. This barrier film is made of special corn starch laminted with LDPE and PET film. The film is to be used for packing fresh foods to keep freshness and eventulally prevent wasting. The film has been certified as bioplastics by Vincotte (an European certification oraganization).
