MITSUBISHI RAYON intensifies the carbon fiber production facility at Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites, Inc. (the 100 % subsidiary) in the US.
Mitsubishi Rayon strengthens the exploitation of carbon fiber market for industrial use including a pressure vessel for shale gas in the US. A new production facility of 2000 t/year production capacity will be added on the existing Sacramento Plant, and be operated from mid-2016. When a new facility starts running, a total production capacity at the Plant will be doubled to 4000 t/year.
