TOYOBO has developed high-modulus Nylon “JF-191MCB” for lightweight solution of automobiles. “JF-191MCB” is composed of Nylon 6 blended with 50 % glass fiber, and its tensile strength and bending strength are about 40 % and 30 % higher than the conventional one (containing 30 % glass fiber). TOYOBO proposes to replace metal parts with “JF-191MCB” in the automobile interiors to reduce a total weight. TOYOBO expects its adoption in the automobile market in 2017 to 2018.
