TORAY has developed a double-structured fabric for sliding, composed of fluorine fiber “Toyoflon” and high performance fiber “Kevlar”. Fine particles of fluorine fiber produced by sliding will not scatter out, but be accumulated among high performance fibers to form a lubricating layer. Its abrasion resistance is 100 times better than a single Toyoflon fabric, and the fabric possesses both low frictional property and high durability. TORAY expands its market for bearings in the fields of automobiles, air planes, wind generators, industrial machineries and heavy machineries.
