An audio cable maker in Holland adopted CNT fiber developed by TEIJIN. This is a first case for CNT fiber to be applied, and CNT audio cable was displayed in the Audio Fair held in Germany. CNT audio cable is ranked in the highest quality in the series of audio cables including copper cable and gold plated cable. The CNT fiber consists of 100 % CNT continuously spun yarn from liqid crystal phase of CNT dispersed in strong acid aqueous solution. The CNT fiber was developed in collaboration with Rice University in the US. CNT molecules are aligned regularly along the fiber axis, and thus its fiber has a similar electric conductivity as metal wire in addition to a similar heat conductivity as graphite fiber. The CNT fiber is strong and flexible.
