TORAY applies PLA fiber for greening and reclaiming farm land from waste land. June, 2014

TORAY has started demonstration experiments on greening a desert and further reclaiming a farm land by applying PLA fiber. By utilizing a cylindrically processed PLA fiber as a planter, a friendly environment could be produced for grwoing vegitables and crops. Succeeding to the greening experiment in the desert area in China, TORAY started demonstration experiemnt to reclaim a farm land from the waste land in South Africa. TORAY has confirmed to reclaim a farm land simply by installing crop-planted PLA cylinders. There will be a need for greening waste mines.
