【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.2 New products of 2014

SHINSHU UNIVERSIY in collaboration with industries has developed simple dust-proof masks for clean room by utilizing nanofiber. The dust-capture efficiency is over 95 %, which is about 20 % more improved than the conventional dust-proof masks. The production and processing of nanofiber requires high-cost special technology, which restricts the application of nanofiber only for industrial filters etc. A research group consisting of SHINSHU UNIVERSIY and other industries has established the mass production and processing technology of nanofibers by electro-spinning. The research group is setting up a system of supplying nanofiber with low cost and aims to extend the application for a general use.
