KURARAY is establishing a shorter production process (1/5 of the conventional process) for the production of vinylon filament, which is a synthetic fiber applied for oil horses of car blakes. A newly developed technology contributes to supress the cost for facility investment and energy consumption in the case of a new plant or new production line installation because of its more compact design. KURARAY aims to estalish this technology by March, 2014, and build a pilot plant within the fiscal year of 2014.
