“Lamous” is an artificial leather made of microfiber from recycled polyester. ASAHI KASEI CHEMICALS explore the application to automobile interiors, especially car seat fabrics, with improved characteristics of “Lamous” such as a high-class touch of suede type, anti-scratch durability and less stuffy contact than natural leather. Other novel applications are proposed to furniture (sofa) materials, clothing, and IT-related materials.
