Carbon fiber SMC production base to be built in Italy (MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL) September, 2019

　Mitsubishi Chemical will build a production base of carbon fiber sheet molding compounds (CFSMCs) in Italy where composites are studied and developed actively. SMCs are made by press molding and the production cycle time is shorter than that of other CFRPs. Mitsubishi Chemical expects their CFSMCs to be used in the automotive structural component business.
