Transformable polyester spunbond nonwoven fabric (UNITIKA) September, 2018

【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.6 New products of 2018

Unitika aims to put their polyester spunbond nonwoven fabric into markets with a variety of applications. It is capable of changing itself to be three dimensional by heat press, because the nonwoven fabric is made of polyester fibres having a core-casing structure in which the casing includes copolymerised polyester whose melting point is low. After heat fusion of the casing, the nonwoven fabric can be transformed and then stabilised. Unitika manufactures the nonwoven fabric at Unit 3 of Thai Unitika Spunbond Co., Ltd having started operations last year. It can be shipped in a board shape by utilising heat pressing and bonding facilities and cutting machines. Unitika markets it under the trade name of MARIX AX SERIES. It can be applied to furniture and cars including engine covering and roof liners.
