Teijin has created an aramid fiber fabric having a denim-like texture for firefighter uniforms. The fabric is named Xfire DENIM. A natural texture of denim fabric is produced by Teijin’s own woven technique. By offering such a fashionable fabric to the protective clothing market, Teijin aims to achieve new customers. Another appealing point is that if firefighters wear the denim-like protective clothing, people can be easily recognised them at a fire scene, distinguishing from other staffs of a fire department.
