Approach from postsynaptically localizing mRNAs (Dems)

       

Novel PSD-related proteins we found or characterized:

Lrp4, synGAPb, NIDD, p55, TANC, BAALC1-6-8, synArfGEF, synUSP (USP48), Gtf2i

 

 (2) Molecular mechanism for synaptic plasticity

We found rapid translocation of CaMKII into PSD (1994). 

  

 

 (3) Molecular architecture of postsynaptic density (PSD)

 Under intensive investigation now

 

 (4) Molecular analysis of Postsynaptic Membrane Raft

We visualized the Raft-PSD complexes at the EM level and

propose gPSD and Raft work togetherh.  PSD without the

aid of postsynaptic rafts cannot work in vivo.   

 

We also found the presence of CaMKII clusters together with

PSD-95 in the membrane rafts.
