This research is aimed at constructing a stochastic model to represent silkworms cocooning behaviour and exploring a new method for the production of textiles. Measuring silkworms｡ﾇ spinning behaviour as a series of three-dimensional data, we carried out statistical analysis of the behavioural data. Some stochastic models were constructed for the cocooning behaviour. Understanding the behaviour is expected to lead to the development of new textiles.
