Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites as structure materials have been widely used in aerospace applications, high-speed vehicles, windmill blades and so on. When they are operating in erosion wear environments, the surface of these equipments will be impacted by the solid particles contained in the air, which destroy the materials. It is widely recognized that CF and GF as reinforcement fiber can enhance the strength of matrix, but reduce the erosion resistance of matrix. In our study, we solve mechanism of fiber and FRP, and develop new FRP materials with higher cost performance, high strength and excellent erosion resistance.
