In collaboration with Japan Atomic Energy Agency, we have developed the radio-microsurgery method for silkworm eggs and larvae by target irradiation of heavy-ion microbeams. Using this method, we have been studying the mechanism of embryogenesis and morphogenesis in the silkworm, Bombyx mori.
