Ms. Minako Shitara Wins Best Poster Award

Activity report

Ms. Minako Shitara, a second-year program student, won the best poster award at the 2015 annual meeting organized by the Society of Fiber Science and Technology Japan on June 11, 2015. She received the prize for presenting her poster titled "The Measurement of Hand Movement in Evaluation of Wood Using 3D Motion-Capture and Pressure Distribution."

"It was absolutely unexpected and I am very honored to receive this award. The lab rotation enabled me to collaborate my research with a completely different field and that experience contributed tremendously to the outcome I presented in the poster. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my advisor Prof. Yoshida and other professors who have been guiding me through, my colleagues, and Prof. Nishikawa who kindly accepted me to his lab in the lab rotation."

Congratulations to Ms. Shitara!
