- The center is located in each campus. (Matsumoto, Nagano, Ueda, and Minami-Minowa) It promotes the total health and safety of the students and employees of the university and is also responsible for environmental management.

- Shinshu University Libraries consists of four service locations (Matsumoto, Nagano, Ueda and Minami-Minowa) and they are connected by a network. Shinshu University welcomes the use of its collections by people not affiliated with the University.

- Research and Education Center for Inlandwater Environment is in Suwa-city, near Lake Suwa. It promotes fundamental and applied research and education for environmental conservation of lakes and rivers including their catchment area.

- Research Center for Human and Environmental Sciences is in Matsumoto and Nagano. The purpose of this center is to facilitate the cooperation among gene research, animal experiments, instrumental analysis, and radioisotope experiments.

- Center for Development of Higher Education Programs is in Matsumoto and helps all learners within the University, providing a high-quality learning environment. The center offers general education programs, foreign language education, and other programs aimed at unified education in each Faculty. It develops education resources, (mainly e-Learning materials), and is in charge of career promotion, which includes obtaining teaching licenses and other qualifications.
