Regarding the "Special Cash Payments (100,000-yen handout)" (Updated: May 22nd)

Dear International Students,

The application forms have started to send to each household in Nagano. You may have received it already.
Please fill in the blank and send the form back to the city hall you live nearby by the deadline.
The following sample is for citizens in Matsumoto City.
Application period: 18th May 2020 to 17th August 2020
*Required to postmark by 17th August
**Please make sure if the date is expired, you can not receive this Cash Handout.
*** It will take for 1 month to the procedure
You can choose to apply by post and online, however, online needs My number card (it is a plastic card, NOT PAPER card), and an IC card reader. It may be easier to choose mail.

*How to apply by mail
1. Fill out the form. Please refer to the following URL (Matsumoto City): 特別定額給付金について(外国人のみなさまへ)
* Please check the sample carefully!
2. Attach copy of Residence card (please copy the backside of card, if it is written your address)
3. Attach copy of bank book or cash card to check your name, bank name, bank account number, etc.
4. Send the form and the attach documents of copies with the enclosed envelope

〇 Based on the Cabinet decision on April 20, 2020, the Japanese Government is plan to implement " the Special Project Providing Fixed Benefits (tentative name)" for the purpose of providing financial support promptly and accurately to the residence of Japan, while paying attention to the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19.
〇 The project intend to provide 100,000 yen for each person recorded in the Resident Registration as of April 27, 2020 (including foreign nationals residing in Japan).
〇 Application should be made by postal mail or online (only for holders of own My Number Card) by application form mailed from the municipality of residence. Payment will be made by transfer to the bank account in the name of the applicant.
〇 The application start date and payment start date will be determined by the municipality of residence. The application deadline should be within 3 months from the application start date of the postal mail application.
