HaeiwaLabSpintronicsisanemergingtechnologyasanewbranchofelectronics.Wearestudyinganddevelopingnano-sizedmagneticmaterialsforhigh-sensitivesensorandhigh-densitymemorywithspintronicstechnology.Inordertorealizesuchnano-sizedmagneticmaterials,Westudynewcompositematerialsmadeofmesoporousorderedthinfilmscontainingmagneticnanoparticles.Mesoporousthinfilmsareinorganicmaterialssynthesizedinthepresenceofsurfactantsastemplates,andhavevariousporousstructures.ThespintronicsdevicewillserveasaGreenITTechnologyproductbecauseofitsdistinctivelowpower-consumingcharacteristicwhilethecomputerisintherest-mode.InHaeiwalaboratory,wearestudyinganddevelopingthenano-sizedmagneticmaterialsforspintronicsdevices.Nano-sizedmagneticmaterialshaveapotentialtobetheultimatenon-volatilememorydevicewhichisspeedy,highlyreliable,andhasalargememory-capacity.Dr.TetsujiHaeiwaAssociate ProfessorI met with the “magne”at the third-grade of college.
