Our goal is to use this information in food production, cutting-edge medical treatments, pharmaceutical drug development, environmental preservation, energy production and other applications to enrich people's lives. Specific research efforts include:●Analyses and development of applications for genome information occurrence and genome function control mechanisms●Elucidation of molecular mechanisms in mammary gland and muscular tissue formation●Research on cellulolytic enzymes produced by lamentous fungiBiomedical Engineering DivisionThe Biomedical Engineering Division pursues research that brings together the fields of science, technology and medicine. This encompasses everything from basic medical, biological and physiological research to development of medical robots, biodevices and biomaterials, and the knowledge gained therein is utilized in medical, welfare-related and other applications. As part of efforts to achieve a more vitalized society in both body and mind, we apply our knowledge toward welfare for the elderly, advanced medical treatments and more.
