In April 2016, we rearranged and combined the 18 departments of the former Graduate School of Science and Technology and Division of Agriculture to establish the current Graduate School of Science and Technology, which comprises the ve departments of science, engineering, textile science and technology, agriculture, and biomedical engineering.Making use of the diverse range of academic elds in the new Graduate School, the University takes advantage of its location amidst the rich natural blessings of the Shinshu region to cultivate an institution rooted in local communities but still open to the world, where sophisticated specialists with wide-reaching perspectives and exceptional problem-solving skills can be fostered.
