You can jump the labs barriers and work together with companionable teachers to conduct research. That is one of the good points about this department. I gain inspiration every day. To everyone interested in everything and that wants to meet people having various technical knowledge, why not join Department of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics and work together!RecentCareerPathsWe research the control of a robot by means of "fluctuation", which is said to be a source of the life activity of living organisms, and develop a robot that imitates cellular tissue and musculoskeletal structure of human.Biologically inspired robotsWe investigate the physical meaning of the shape of our humanbone tissue through the development of imaging devices for medicaldiagnosis and computational analysis standing on the techniquesof mechanical engineering.Investigation of morphological feature of living tissuesWe develop light and comfortably wearable robotic wear "curara", which you can wear like clothes in order to support the physically challenged or elderly people.Robotic wear "curara"Human movement is complex and irreducibly three-dimensional, making it difficult to objectively analyze human dynamics. We develop experimental and simulation methods for objectively analyzing 3D dynamic movement and loading patterns during walking and sports activies. Objective analysis of human motionThe living organism is a high-performance equipment where the future (novel phenotype) rapidly emerges from the interaction between the present (sense) and the past (form). In our laboratory, we investigate the above mechanism from the actions of wood louse, soldier crab and ogusokumushi (below photo).Past and future are none of the equipment’s business Toshiba, NEC, Seiko Epson, Brother Industries, IHI, Honda Motor, Toyota Motor, Nissan Motor, Isuzu Motors, Toyo Tires, Tokairika, Aisin AW, Taihei Dengyo, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Okamura, Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems, Taikisha, Toshiba Solutions, Sugino Machine, NDD, Nissei ASB Machine, Harmonic Drive Systems, Mimaki Engineering
