Our laboratory specializes in ergonomics and aims to quantify the comfort of textile products. I have been working on room wear made of towel cloth, which has got attention recently. In addition, the course has a lot of collaborative researches with business enterprises, which may lead to product development. The room wear that I worked on was marketed this year, which motivates me to go further.We are the only section in Japan to broadly conduct education and research on the comfort of textile products and advanced textile materials (for fashion and sportswear) in order to quickly and adequately deal with the varied needs of the fields of sports, fashion and interior, based on textile engineering, sports engineering and fabric science.A person finds "beauty" and "elegance" in cloth because the light reflected by the cloth reaches the brain through the eyeballs.
