Optical properties of materi-als synthesized in other groups as well as collaborating bodies will be studied in detail to implement them into next-generation optical devices. 新たな光デバイスを実現する手法として、主にメタマテリアルという概念を用いていきたいと考えています。ここで「メタ」とは「超える」 という意味で使われていますが、これまでの材料の特性を超えたものを微細な人工構造物を作成することにより生み出していきたいと思います。We are investigating using the concept of meta-materials mainly as a method of realizing new optical materials.
