Essentials for business -Practical Curriculum

Shinshu University Graduate School of Management aims to provide professionals with a deep insight into advanced technology and market trend as well as with the ability to achieve organizational innovation.

In April 2003, Shinshu University, following collaboration between the social, natural sciences and engineering departments, became the first National University in Japan to open a Graduate School in Innovation Management focused on meeting the needs of mature students.
This introduced a new trend in Japanese Universities towards supporting societal innovation in the 21st century. While raising the employability of our graduates, we aim to share our results and experience with the rest of the world.

Of course, studying at university while continuing a full-time job is not easy.
Our students need to receive the understanding and support of their workplace and family and manage their time skilfully while attending university. It goes without saying that we expect students to be able to attend each class on time, but we do recognise that sometimes urgent demands may occasionally require students to miss individual classes. While some classes are based on discussions between tutors and students, in the lecture-based classes, it is possible to catch up by using the Web-based e-learning resources of the School.
In addition, tutors are available at specified hours to deal with any questions concerning class content, research and other issues concerning students.
