Prof. Dr. Taniguchi and his co-workers are trying to innovate materials for thin-film transistors that need for TVs based on liquid crystal displays. Though the transistors are based on inorganic materials like silicon at preset, they work for change the materials to organic whose characteristics are lightweight and soft and flexible and based on never-depleting elements. They have succeeded to develop organic thin-film transistors with high electron mobility that could be classified into the world’s highest electron mobility of organic transistors and is greater than amorphous silicon transistors.
