PDF A Study of Kinesitherapy on Diabetics Effects of Exercises on Glucose and Lipids Metabolism after Oral Glucose Administration

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.2 Vol.2

In order to acquire data for appropriate application of kinesitherapy on diabetics, the effects of exercises on glucose and lipids metabolism were examined using a healthy adult.
On the same subject, using a treadmill, 3 kinds of exercises were respectively given, namely, 60 minutes for 40%, 30 minutes for 60% and 15 minutes for 80% of VO₂max and the exercise starting time was set immediately, at 30 minutes and 60 minutes after oral glucose administration. Furthermore, in the same way, the effects of 60 minutes exercise for 40% of VO₂max were examined using chemical diabetes.
The results were as follows:
1) When the exercises of 40% and 60% VO₂max were started immediately after glucose administration, the rises of BS and IRI were inhibited. When such an exercise was started 30 minutes and 60 minutes later, the reductions of BS and IRI were accelerated.
2) On the other hand, in the exercise of 80% VO₂max, the results showed higher BS and IRI concentrations compared to those of glucose administration during the rest time.
3) On the chemical diabetes, the exercise of 40% VO₂max immediately after glucose administration, the results showed lower BS concentration and the save of IRI compared to that of oral glucose administration during the rest time.
