PDF On the Drying of Sweat in Sport-wear (Hindrance to the Drying by Sweat Components Accumulated in Sport-wear)

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.6 Vol.6

Relationship between drying rate and various sweat components was examined at a given temperature of 40℃, near bodies temperature, for plain weave and single knit fabrics of cotton. The drying rate was measured by using an apparatus designed in our laboratory.
The drying rate, which is composed of constant rate period and falling rate period, were discussed, in relation to moisture content of the fabrics. It was concluded that increasing sweat components results in hindrance to the drying rate of the fabrics.
