【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.25 Vol.25

The aim of this research is to examine how contribute a self-similarity picture to human comfortable sensation. We drew about 230 fractal pictures using the commercial software that can represent Mandelbrot set and Julia set. Forty students carried out subjective evaluation test by using 30 fractal pictures that were selected from our images on screen. Each picture was rated on 28 adjective pairs. The rating values indicated that self-similarity picture has a close relation to feeling of conformity. In order to examine the relationship fractal images between comfortable feeling, we made eight kinds of self-similarity images represented on screen of 100 inches. Brain waves of 5 subjects were measured during these images represented. The potential of α wave was calculated to compare the effects of selfsimilarity images and a scenery picture. Results showed that the potential of α wave varied in the subjects among self-similarity images. Furthermore, a favorite image was presented after the warming up, and brain waves were measured about five subjects. A landscape figure was used as the comparison stimulus. Two subjects showed that the potential of α wave in the animated images was much higher than to see a stationary landscape figure.
