Fugakuryo Dormitory (for undergraduate medical students):
It is 10 min. walk to campus. \700 excluding utility fees.
Renting an Apartment:
As the number of rooms in the above
dormitories is unfortunately limited, about 80% of our foreign students are living
in an apartment near campus. Most apartments have a kitchen and a bath (either
communal or private), but rooms are usually unfurnished. The average cost of a
one-bedroom apartment is more than \40,000. One with a communal kitchen and
bath can be found within the \30,000 range. In addition, the initial investment
for renting an apartment is quite costly in Japan, as it is customary to pay
key money and a deposit, which adds up to 3 to 4 months' worth of rent.
