Summary of Activity
Cardiovascular diseases such as ischemic heart disease and atherosclerosis are predicted to be the leading cause of death worldwide in the near future; therefore, development of cardiovascular diseases may be an important issue that needs to be studied in the 21st century. The final goal of the research in our laboratory is to define the mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases and development of new therapy for intractable cardiovascular diseases, and contribute to the patients, science, and society.


Research Projects
The current research projects in our laboratory are the following:
1) Clinical research and training of cardiovascular diseases.
2) Role of cytokines and chemokines in the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases.
3) Regeneration therapy for cardiovascular diseases using bone marrow stem cells
