 老化促進マウス(SAM)等モデル動物および培養細胞を用い、体外から侵入したアミロイド線維(類縁タンパク質含む)の伝播経路ならびにその集積過程を解明することを主テーマとし、最終的には病的老化の予防(発病遅延)策の構築をめざす。

略歴:
 1969年1月 大阪市にて生まれ、19の春まで大阪・高槻市で暮らす。その後、静岡県立大学、同大学院、ポーラ化成工業株式会社を経て、2002年11月より現職に従事。
