Official Visit to Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven and Mannheim University

Associate Professor Sato (Shinshu University International Center) and 2 staff members of the Division of International Exchange visited Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven(Belgium) on February 23 and Mannheim University (Germany) on February 25.
Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven(KUL) and Shinshu have signed a university-wide agreement for academic cooperation and exchange in November, 2001. Shinshu sent 2 exchange students in this academic year.
The delegation members interviewed one of those exchange students on her study and lives at KUL, discussed with KUL staff members about overall exchange activities, and took a tour around the campus.
Mannheim University and Shinshu University has signed a university-wide agreement for academic cooperation had exchange on July 8, 2009, upgrading the former agreement between Faculties to promote further cooperation.
On that day of their visit, the delegation members had a fruitful discussion regarding exchange activities, followed by a campus tour .
We believe this visit will lead to further promotion of academic exchange activities with both KUL and Mannheim University.
